AGpO MEMBERSHIP NEWS Looking Back, Planning Ahead As we welcome the vibrant season of spring, I want to take a moment to reach out to you all with some exciting upcoming events and impor-tant reminders. This time of year is an opportunity for us to reflect on the great strides our community has made and to plan for the future ahead. I encour-age you to mark your calendars now for the AGpO Fall Annual Meeting. This year promises to be particularly enriching, with a lineup of engaging speakers and sessions designed to enhance our collective knowledge and skills. It’s never too early to start thinking about how this meeting can benefit you and your practice. In addition to our annual gathering, I am thrilled to announce our Advanced Course taking place in Houston, TX, from June 13 to 14. The course will feature renowned speakers Ricardo Medellin, DDS, MS, discussing "Stream-lining Tip Edge Mechanics with Advanced Arch-wire Sequence Protocols for Enhanced Results," and Fred Der, DDS, who will share insights on "Identifying & Treating Open Bite Cases; TADs; and Stability & Retention." Both sessions are a fantastic opportunity to deepen your expertise and stay at the forefront of orthodontics. Moreover, if you’re looking to enhance your team's skills, we have a fantastic Dental Kauser Bari, DDS AGpO President Assistant’s Course scheduled in the Dallas area from July 24 to 26, led by the knowledgeable Charles Young, DDS. This is a perfect opportunity for your staff to gain vital training that will contribute immensely to your practice. Lastly, I’d like to remind you of our upcoming 2025 Annual Meeting in Chicago, from Septem-ber 25 to 27. The meeting will feature presenta-tions from distinguished professionals including Attila Nagy, DDS, MS, who will delve into "Diag-nosis and Troubleshooting,” and Keith Wilkerson, DDS, MS, who will address "Early Treatment." It promises to be a not-to-miss event filled with invaluable information and a great exhibit hall. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need further information. Kauser Bari, DDS Registration Now Available for Three-Day Dental Assistant’s Course Registration is now available for the Academy of Gp Orthodontics’ annual three-day Dental Assistant’s Course, and the course schedule is posted on the Academy’s website. Dr. Charles Young has been confirmed to teach the course, to be held this year from July 24 to 25 in Dallas, TX. The hands-on lab portion of the Dental Assistant’s Course makes it an indispensable in-person experi-ence. The course is intended for assistants with little orthodontic training, as well as a refresher for more experienced assistants. The course will give the chair-side dental assistant a better under-how to apply brackets, bands and auxiliaries using the Tip-Edge system. Young will cover the Tip-Edge stages of treatment, tracing cephalometric x-rays and model analysis for the diag-nosis of arch-length discrepancy. The Academy will provide course attendees a T.P. Orthodontics supply kit with bracket kits, archwires and a carousel dispenser. A list of addi-tional supplies needed from atten-dees’ offices will be sent with each course confirmation.
