All attending doctors earned a minimum of 155 continuing dental education credits and passed a writ-ten and oral final exam. To complete the course, each doctor was required to start a minimum of three cases and present them to the class. The Academy expressed its congratulations to all the doctors, who achieved the Associate Fellow-ship Level of the AGpO Tier Advancement Program. The doctors included Dileep Varghese, DMD; Yuri Sirotinski, DDS; John Mendoza, DDS; Evan Matthysse, DDS; Marc Johnson, DMD; Naurose Siraj, DMD; Fatima Noorain Siraj, DMD; Jacob Sisombath, DDS; and Tarek Elmajie, BDS. Advisory Board Robert Allen, DDS Greg Cannizzo DDS Fred Der, DDS Nicholas Gardner, DDS Kyle McCrea, DDS Sherman Menser, DDS Milton Ntragatakis, DDS Keith Wilkerson, DDS Charles Young, DDS AGpO Member and Teaching Assistant Dies at 88 Dr. Robert Shirley passed away on March 3 in Oklahoma City, OK, following an extended illness. He was 88. Shirley graduated with honors from Baylor University in 1962. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1962 to 1965 and then in the Navy Reserves, retiring as a captain in 1993. Shirley was a member of the Academy of Gp Orthodontics since its inception in 1987. He was the second president of the Academy, a long-time board member, and the organization’s first Diplomate. Shirley began his orthodontic training in 1986 under the supervision and direc-tion of Dr. Charles Yates. He then served as a clinical assistant to Yates, Dr. Terry Hodges, and Dr. Paul Rocke, and helped Dr. Robert Allen with AGpO’s 12 Session Hands On Orthodontics Course in Rockwall, TX.
