Wyatt, Sr., DDS – Emeritus Once again, the American Orthodontic Society went above and beyond with the presenting speakers and lecture facility at the recent Spring Meet-ing held at the AOS Teaching Institute. The Institute is an incredible teach-ing facility and professional space. I encourage every one of you to visit the center for an upcoming course or meeting. It served as a wonderful back-drop and venue to our list of extraordinary speakers, who shared informa-tion on “Sleep Therapy in Your Practice,” “Orthodontic Pearls and Case Finishing,” and “Diagnosing to a Beautiful Face and Smile.” If you were unable to attend our exceptional Spring Meeting, make sure you mark your calendar to be part of the AOS Annual Fall Meeting from Sept. 18 to 20, to be held in beautiful Las Colinas, TX. Our meeting location this year is the stunning Ritz-Carlton Dallas hotel. In addition to hosting three days of some of the best orthodontic and dental speakers available anywhere, the 400-acre resort will offer stunning views and award-winning luxury. In addition, the AOS has arranged for an outstanding special meeting price for your room stay at this first-class venue. The Fall Meeting will be the ultimate escape from the hectic day-to-day routine many of us face. Attending the Fall Meeting is a great way to receive the best orthodontic continuing education while enjoying an outstanding venue, but there is even more to obtain by coming to this three-day conference. Having a community around you and behind you to support and guide your profes-sional growth is what the AOS is all about. So many of our members and instructors are available and ready to mentor you and advocate for your staff and your growth and development in orthodontics. I have been part of the AOS and editor of our journal for 25 years. I have seen so many of our members as they interacted and worked with our community doctors and instructors. We are all constantly learning from each other, as well as from our great teachers. So, take the time this fall to make our Annual Meeting part of your necessary ongoing learning. As a well-known adage goes, “If you are the smartest person in the room, you are in the wrong room.” We all must continue to learn from each other.
