Tippin, DDS Executive Director Adam Griswold Executive Director Emeritus Cynthia Bordelon 42 Spring 2014 JAOS On February 20, the inaugural Early Treatment Course taught by Dr. Keith Wilkerson and hosted by Dr. Bert Vasut in Austin, Texas graduated its first class of partici-pating doctors. Each doctor attended 12 two-day sessions that included one day of lecture and one day of clinical treating of live patients. During their year-long course, the participating doctors got the chance to provide early treatment to children between the ages of 4 to 9 years. Treatment provided involved all early treat-ment needed to guide the develop-ment of their patients’ faces and redirect the eruption of permanent teeth through the use of appliances and fixed Tip-Edge brackets.
