AOS MEMBERSHIP NEWS AOS Upcoming Ortho Courses Mild Winter, Hot Classes! Dr. Leonard Carapezza’s Early Treatment of Malocclusion course(s) begin in Boston this month. These courses offer a unique opportunity for general and pediatric dentists to learn early treatment techniques in a private office setting. Each session is arranged to give an in-depth study of the Straight-Wire system using state-of-the-art audio/visual proce-dures. Dates for beginning course: March 22–24, May 3-5, July 12-14, Sept. 6-8. Advanced session dates: March 29-31, May 10-12, July 19-21, Sept. 13-15. (96 total CE hours) Dr. David Jackson will teach you how to take your practice to the next level in his 4-session Next Steps course in Dallas. This Level 2 continuum is designed for the practitioner who has completed a basic course or who has been prac-ticing Ortho and would like an update on latest techniques. Session dates for this lecture and hands-on course: March 23-25, May 18-20, August 10-12, Septem-ber 7-9. (80 total CE hours) In conjunction with Dr. Jackson’s Next Steps , Susan Coffey, RDA, will be teaching her Basic and Advanced Empowered class to assistants. These two-session courses empower your assistants and auxiliaries with valuable orthodontic techniques and knowledge through hands-on exer-cises. Basic course runs March 23-24 and May 18-19. Advanced dates are August 10-11 and September 7-8. (16 credit hours per session) Dr. Bill Wyatt and Dr. Larry White’s Orthodontics in Today’s Dental Practice will continue with session 3 April 27-28. This intermediate concepts and techniques course is our only session-by-session offering and covers everything from patient consultation and diagnoses, treat-ment planning and therapies to identifying the different classes of malocclusions to archwire construction and wire bending. Final session is May 18-19. (16 CE hours per session) Cabo San Lucas, Mexico will be the picturesque setting for Dr. David Jackson’s Interceptive Orthodontics Update Weekend May 25-27!
