AOS MEMBERSHIP NEWS Expanding Educational Opportunities; Join Memphis Meeting There is absolutely no better dental meeting in America today than your own American Orthodontic Society’s Annual Meeting. Great speakers, 25 hours of continuing education, mentoring on all the cases you want to bring, and that unique style of AOS camaraderie. With our busy professional and personal calendars, NOW is the time to make your plans to attend because October 4-7 will be here soon! I want to break all attendance records in 2012 and I look forward to hosting you in my hometown of Memphis. Watch your mailboxes and email for more information. The AOS now has webinars available on our website at www.orthodontics.com. They can be found on the course calendar page. Along with senior instructors, Drs. David Jackson and Joe Schmidbauer webinars, we have partnered with the Texas Academy of General Dentistry to offer Mitch Parker, DDS educational webinars from their AOS President catalog, and they are offering ours. We’re looking for other states that want to partner as we expand online education for our members. If you are active in your state AGD, please talk to them about partnering with your AOS or let Executive Director Tom Chapman know and he will contact that organization’s Executive Director. As always, keep that orthodontic practice growing! Mitch Parker, DDS Dr. Bill Wyatt Lectures at Dr. Chris Baker’s Dubai Mastership Comprehensive Orthodontics Course The initial class of Dr. Chris Baker’s Dubai Mastership Comprehensive Orthodontics Course graduated this past Febru-ary and celebrated the occasion with a dinner and certificate ceremony at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Danny Hastie in Abu Dhabi, the capital city of the United Arab Emirates. To make the occasion even more mean-ingful, Dr. and Mrs. Bill Wyatt traveled along with Dr. Baker and Tom Chapman, AOS Executive Director, to Dubai, where Dr. Wyatt participated in the lectures to Dr. Baker’s students. Shown here is Dr. Wyatt (far right) lecturing to a group of course attendees while in Abu Dhabi that included practitioners from seven different countries.
