This lecture and hands-on class gives the assistant an understanding of both the Multi-Distilizing and twin force appliances, accentu-ated curve in rectangular arch wires, full intercuspation of the premolars, preparing arch wires, retention and standard of care records. (28 CE hours) A Basic Straight Wire Orthodontic Assistants course will be taught by Robin Schmid-bauer, CDA, EFDA in Atlanta September 20 & 21. From proper patient records and practice management to cephalometric procedures to bracketing, this course will make your staff more productive in your practice! There will also be a review and project detailing the final archwire sequencing in conjunction with auxiliaries to accomplish anterior retraction, final bite opening, posterior labial root torque, and final inter-cuspation.
