that keep on learning and under-standing more and more. Instead, understand the limita-tions, and learn how to begin from the beginning, to have LESS of these happenings, with prevention in your ortho systems, and learn strate-gies in various finishing and mechanics challenges to help your treatment flow, efficiency, and with the best results.(Fig. 3) Systems of efficient biomechanics and lessening of iatrogenic complica-tions make your life easier and your orthodontics better. The VERY thing we don’t want to do is to make it harder for the patient and for ourselves. There are ways of decreas-ing that risk, by golly! Something as simple-seeming as the correct arch form, or the correction of A–P first, before transverse or vertical, or when to close spaces, and WHEN NOT TO. Knowing the downsides of say, bite turbos, and when to use and not to, can immensely help your patient’s treatment result flow. The way and timing of commu-nication with the adult patient or parent of a child patient can change your comfort, their comfort, and your outcome in the treatment. Wire strategies and bends can do that too. Accessory appliances like the mini-bionator to use during treatment can be a huge help. The strategies are not the “same old stuff” you learned in your comprehensive courses. You can shorten your treatment time and improve your finished results. Remember -the most capable and most “likely to succeed” humans are the ones that keep on learning and understanding more and more. Enjoy your orthodontic patients to the max.
