AOS MEMBERSHIP NEWS Embarking on Our Next 50 Years The American Orthodontic Society 2024-2025 Officers & Directors President Greg Cannizzo, DDS President-Elect Gregory T. Jeneary, DDS Vice President Gary Schulman, DDS Happy New Year to all our AOS members. I would like to introduce myself as your 2024–2025 AOS President. I have been performing orthodontics as a general dentist in Greg Cannizzo, DDS AOS President McHenry, IL, since 1990, and I have been a member of AOS since 2003. In 2001, Rodger Rupp and I founded and began the Journal of the American Orthodontic Society . This great journal is starting its 24th year, and I have continued as its editor through the years. Now, I am proud and honored to take the reins of our organization. I would like to first thank our Past President, Dr. Susan Tiede, for the outstanding job she has done leading our organization during her tenure as a board member and throughout our 50th anniversary last year. Susan is an outstanding pediatric practitioner and friend, and we have been blessed to have her give her time and talent to guide our group. AOS has continued on an upward trajectory started by Dr. Brian Vierthaler, now our Treasurer, along with our board and Nate Porter, our Executive Direc-tor. The team has put together many new strategies and courses that have revi-talized and refreshed the organization. Last year, we saw the opening of our outstanding teaching center in Grapevine, TX. If you have not taken part in an event or course at the new facility, you need to make it a priority this year to attend, visit and experience this state-of-the-art teaching center. In addition to the numerous courses planned at the teaching facility this year, make sure to attend the Spring Meeting from April 4 to 5 at this outstanding venue. Our lineup of great speakers is already listed for you on our website. Make it a priority also to mark your calendar and be part of our Annual Meeting at the Ritz Carlton Resort in Las Colinas, TX, September 18–20. This beautiful, five-star Ritz Carlton Property will make the perfect backdrop to a weekend of connecting with old friends and continuing education for both you and your staff.
