The case was finished with solid Class I molars and midlines. The final panoramic (Fig. 11) and Ceph and tracing (Figs. 12a and 12b) were taken. Orthodontic intervention to bring impacted teeth into the line of occlusion is important for long-term function and stability. There are a number of reasons for impacted teeth occurring, including genetics, developmental anomalies, palatal clefts, trauma and lose of tooth guided eruption. A thorough diagnosis is always important but arch stabilization is also essential to prevent unwanted movements during the orthodontic eruption of these impacted teeth. With this case, we addressed arch stabilization while guiding L.G.’s impacted teeth into position, making finishing easier (Figs. 13a & 13b L.G. was extremely happy with the finished outcome of her treat-ment (Fig. 14).
