The Basic course covers understanding of instru-ments, proper record-taking, orthodontic terminology, correct placement of brackets and wires, and patient care of braces, just to name a few topics. (20 CDE hours) For the experienced practi-tioner, something NEW! Dr. Larry White will conduct a six-session course, Mastery in Advanced Orthodontics, kicking off January 20-21, 2017 in Dallas. Beginning with three dimensional soft tissue diagnosis and treatment planning protocol, this in-depth course also covers direct and indi-rect bonding techniques, biome-chanics, Class II and Class III diag-nosis and therapies, and retention strategies, among many other topics. Note: this class is limited to 10 advanced participants! (96 CDE hours) Dr. Jay Gerber will conduct his own Principles of Orthodontic Case Finishing in Atlanta the last weekend of February. Learn to achieve the most ideal vertical and A-P correction in your cases and discover practical techniques for timely treatment of over-bite and over-jet, space closure, and midline positioning. (13 CDE hours) Dr. Leonard Carapezza’s Early Treatment of Malocclusion: A Simplified Approach to Diag-nosis and Treatment returns to the Boston area this spring. Both the Beginning, starting March 9 -11, and the Advanced, starting March 23 – 25, provide a system-atic orthodontic approach to treat-ing patients using the Andrews Straight Wire Philosophy and Appliance for a modified efficient and effective early treatment system. (80 CDE hours) Level 2: Intermediate/ Advanced Concepts in Straight Wire Orthodontics begins March 10 – 13 in Dallas. Capably led by Dr. Brad Williams, this five-session course is for the practitioner who has just completed a basic orthodontic course and/or the doctor who would like an update in the latest orthodontic concepts.
