AGpO MEMBERSHIP NEWS AGpO 2017: An Upcoming Year of Great Educational Opportunities This is the beginning of a New Year and there is a great selection of opportunities for service, leadership and education all available to you at the Academy of Gp Orthodontics. The new year brings new web-based courses taught by Dr. Ron Austin. You have had the chance to learn and listen to Ron at courses in Tishomingo and at Annual Meetings; now, take the opportunity to hear and see him on your computer from the comfort of your home or office. Watch the Academy website and this Journal for more information regarding this course. 2017 will bring a new two-day advanced course to the Midwest. This course will be taught by Dr. Jeffrey Gerhardt at the Marriott Courtyard on the Magnificent Mile in Chicago, IL. Stay tuned for more information on this course to be conducted this upcoming Spring. AGpO will hold its 2017 Annual Meeting in Galve-ston, Texas at the San Luis Resort on October 5-7, so mark your calendars! You do not want to miss the chance to hear Dr. Chris Kesling of TP Orthodontics lecture on the Tip-Edge system. Dr. Sherman John Menser, DDS Record Number Attend Assistant's Course The Academy held its 2016 Assistant's Course with Instruc-tor Dr. Charles Young at the Marriott Legacy Town Center in Plano, TX on July 21-24. Over 35 attendees made this class one of the largest groups to be present at this yearly course. This intensive four-day course included orthodontic staff train-ing with an optional half-day session covering cephlametric training and model analysis for the orthodontic assistant. Over the past nine years, more than 175 dental assistants have attended this popular AGpO course.
