AGpO MEMBERSHIP NEWS Working Together Toward A Common Goal As we ring in the first quarter of the New Year, I’d like to welcome our Academy members back! And to all the new members --a very big welcome! Becoming part of the Academy is one of the best decisions you’ll ever make. The Academy is more like a family than a dental organization. We are once again all working together toward a common goal. 2014 promises to be a great year. The Academy has a couple of fun and informative meetings planned for its members. In the spring, we have our second joint meeting with the IAO in Kissimmee, FL at the Gaylord Palms Resort on March 27th -30th. Then, in September, we’ll be going to Denver for our Annual Session which will include a two-day hands on presentation by Dr. Gerald S. Samson on Orthodontic Mechanics. The Academy has expanded its educational programs to include a twelve-session early treatment program taught by Dr. Keith Wilkerson. Dr. Ron Austin also continues to offer refinements to our Tip-Edge ® Tech-nique at his Advanced Tip-Edge ® Course. Kyle McCrea, DDS AGpO President To help your staff come up to speed on Tip-Edge ® and help you to integrate it into your practice, Dr. Charles Young is helping us by teaching the Dental Assistant’s Course. This year, the course will be in both Plano, Texas and Chicago, Illinois. AGpO members may attend this course at no charge when sending an assis-tant for training. This is yet another opportunity for a great brush up on Tip-Edge ® basics. Access to the MyAGpO.com social networking website is a great place to ask questions and get advice. You can connect with other Tip Edgers of all levels for input on cases you are treating in your office. Thank you for being part of the Academy and helping build it into the outstanding organization it has become.
