This can shorten the treatment time considerably simply by creating a fully erupted dention to work on. In Fig. 6, you can find a summary of mechanics for cuspid extraction cases. Fig. 7, is an example of a case were the upper 3’s and lower 4’s were extracted. In this case, the treatment time was 14 months.
