AGpO MEMBERSHIP NEWS Join the Academy This Fall in the Windy City! “Pop! – Six! – Squish! – Un-un. – Cicero… If you’d have been there, if you had seen it, I betcha you would have done the same.” Do you recognize these lyrics from Cell Block Tango, one of the great songs from the play and movie Chicago? If so, then I’m telling you up front to make time to be with us this fall and see the great city that is hosting this year’s Annual Meeting. I'm sure you want to stay on Velma and Roxy’s good side. If musicals aren't your style, then maybe a prohibi-tion gangster movie is more your speed? I'm just saying, “Hey, Bugsy. Yeah. I’m talkin’ to ya’. Listen up.” Because this year the Academy is heading to......... Chicago! The Second City is the site for the Academy’s 30th Annual Meeting. Join us September 13-15 at Hotel Chicago in the heart of the City of Big Shoulders. The Academy’s Annual Meetings are always amazing. The speakers, the vendors, the camaraderie --these are consistently solid each year. This year as an added plus, we will be in That Toddling Town: Chicago! Here are some things to look forward to: • Kuniaki Miyajima, DDS, MS, PhD will speak on biomechanics, NiTi rectangular wire applica-tions for the Tip-Edge ® technique, and mixed dentition strategy. • Jack Pechersky, D.M.D., M.D.S. a pediatric dentist for Drew Ellenwood, DDS AGpO President 48 years, is set to discuss interceptive orthodontics for space management and eruption guidance. He will illustrate how in cases of crowding guiding the development of the occlusion can lessen overall treatment time and complexity of a case as well as reducing the need for bicuspid extractions. Our own Jeffery Gerhardt, DDS will introduce the Kesling’s new TNL Bracket system. He will show how and when to use this system, pros and cons and patient treatment examples. At Friday night’s dinner, we’ll mark the Academy’s 30th Annual Meeting. Now that’s something to celebrate! • • Visit the AGpO website for information on registra-tion and hotel reservations. “Come on, why don’t we paint the town.
