AGpO MEMBERSHIP NEWS Three-Day Dental Assistant Course; Sign Up For Summer Dr. Charles Young will be teaching the Academy's three-day assistant course in Plano, Texas this summer. The course will run from July 23-July 26 2015 at the Marriott Legacy Town Center. The course is intended for assistants with little orthodontic training as well as a refresher course for more experi-enced assistants. The course will give the chairside dental assistant a better understanding of orthodontics and the Differential Straight Arch (Tip-Edge) Technique. Assistants will be working in pairs on study casts from your office along with typodonts from the Academy. Assistants will learn how to apply brackets, bands and auxiliaries using the Tip-Edge System. Dr. Young will cover the Tip-Edge stages of treatment, trac-ing of cephalometric x-rays and model anal-ysis for the diagnosis of arch length discrep-ancy. The Academy will supply a T.P. Orthodontics supply kit that includes bracket kits, a straight shooter and a carousel dispenser (a value of over $300 for these items alone, which you take home).
