Tippin, DDS Executive Director Adam Griswold Executive Director Emeritus Cynthia Bordelon 42 September/October 2012 JAOS 11 Doctors Complete Comprehensive Course Eleven doctors recently completed their comprehensive two-year hands-on course in Rockwell, Tx. The course was taught and hosted by Dr. Robert Allen. All the doctors completed the Academy’s 12-session comprehensive hands-on course and earned a minimum 155 CDE hours in orthodontics and related topics. Nine doctors achieved the Associate Fellowship level of the Academy of Gp Orthodontics Tier Advancement Program. Each doctor needed to complete a minimum of three cases during the hands-on course followed by passing a written and oral examination. These doctors included Lalit Bhardwaj D.D.S. of Dallas, TX; Lila Cyr D.D.S. of San Antonio, TX; Phuong Kim D.D.S. of Arlington, TX; Majid Fehresti D.D.S. of St. Anthony, MN; Moiz Hemani D.D.S. of Sugar Land, TX; Jacquie Nguyen D.D.S. of Murphy, TX; David Pendleton D.D.S. of Rockdale, TX; Monica Ponce D.D.S. of Las Vegas, NV; and Gerald Sherrick D.D.S. of Spring, TX. Assisting Dr. Allen with teaching the course were Dr. Sherman Menser D.D.S. of Midwest City, OK and Robert Shirley D.D.S. of Oklahoma City, OK. A special thanks also to the staff of Dr. Allen’s Rockwall office for their assistance in coordinating duties and for secretarial and clinical support. They worked hard to make the clinical portion of this two-year comprehensive course possible.
