CONTRIBUTOR BIOGRAPHIES Chris Baker, RN, DMD, is a Diplomate of the AOS. She gradu-ated from University of Kentucky College of Dentistry and completed both her specialty residency in Pediatric Dentistry, and her fellowship in the Department of Orthodontics at University of Connecticut. Dr. Baker is a senior lecturer for the AOS and is a clinical professor at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry and practices pediatric dentistry and orthodontics in Lexington, KY. Kevin L. Boyd, M.Sc., DDS, is a board-certified pediatric dentist with an M. Sc. in Human Nutrition. He is in private practice in Chicago, IL and an attending instructor in the resi-dency-training program in Pediatric Dentistry at Children’s Memorial Hospital. He is currently completing pre-requisite course work in Biological Anthropology in preparation for grad-uate study and research in the newly emerging discipline of Evolutionary Dentistry. His clinical focus is centered upon prevention of oral and systemic disease through promotion of healthy breathing and eating; his primary research interest is in the area of infant/early childhood feeding practices and how they impact palatal-facial development. Nancy T. Brohawn, RDH, BSDH, has worked as a clinical dental hygienist since graduating from West Virginia University. As a member of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA), she is currently on the Access Editorial Advisory Board, an officer of the Delaware Dental Hygienists’ Association (DDHA), and delegate to ADHA Annual Session.As a member of the Delaware Oral Health Coalition, its executive board, she serves on the Awareness and Access committees. Her enthusiasm for the dental hygiene profession has been shared with students as an adjunct faculty member. Nancy served as a counselor and group leader for Nursing Mothers Inc. (NMI) providing volunteer counseling. Community involvement also includes health fairs and dental talks to schools and community groups. Arafa Mohammad Arafa Khatab, BDS, MSc, PhD is a faculty member of the University of Egypt as well as a lecturer of Pedodontics.
