ORTHO INDUSTRY NEWS Komet USA Launches One-Step Polishers Exclusively designed for one-step final polishing of compos-ites, Komet’s new light-yellow polishers feature a special silicone bond that provides outstanding flexibility and conformation to tooth anatomy. The polishers incorporate ultrafine-grit diamond particles for efficient delivery of a high-shine polish on composite materials in a single step, following the thorough finishing of restoration surfaces. Constructed of heat-tolerant, high-quality materials, the instru-ments can be safely sterilized in an autoclave and resist degradation and deforma-tion. The light-yellow polish-ers are available in flame-shaped (long and short), cup-shaped, and wheel-shaped versions and are color-coded with a white ring according to diamond grit (ultrafine) for ease of identification. They are offered in packages containing five instruments of a single configuration. Faith Hill Wears Braces at the Grammy Awards Country singer Faith Hill sported an unusual accessory at the 55th annual Grammy Awards on February 10, 2013.There's plenty of pres-sure to look perfect on the red carpet, but Faith Hill wasn't afraid to leave her orthodontics on for her big night out…she was wearing a set of clear braces. The singer first debuted her clear braces at the Country Music Awards, which confused fans that were accustomed to her flawless smile and did not understand her need for them. Hill explained, "I had braces as a kid, but I forgot to wear my retainer."
