AGpO MEMBERSHIP NEWS Get Refreshed With Springtime Continuing Dental Education Tom Jacobsen, DDS Look beyond the teeth! This is the call to arms being pounded into our heads in the Sleep Disturbed Breathing Class I’m currently taking. This issue of your Journal also touches on the topic of airways and sleep apnea, subjects that will be gaining increased importance as the health of Americans declines. Perhaps more importantly, the treatment of Obstruc-tive Sleep Apnea is an area that will force dentists and physicians into a close collaboration, a trend that will have benefits for both of the professions. Our Spring Refresher scheduled for May 20–22 in Plano, Texas is fast approaching. Our own Dr. Ron Austin will be presenting, a guarantee of a great review of the Tip-Edge technique titled “Practical Tip-Edge”. I might add here that I have had the plea-sure of attending Dr. Austin’s mini-residency in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. It is a great way to get down and dirty in the Tip-Edge trenches. If you need some AGpO President instruction on the practical side of Tip-Edge mechanics, this would be it. I highly recommend this course to both new graduates of the 12-session hands-on course as well as the veterans of our many Tip-Edge classes. As you’re reading this, I hope that the springtime signs of our planet refreshing herself are beginning to become evident. In my remote little part of Alaska, the skunk cabbage will be emerging and the bears will be waking up. Refresh yourself by reading this issue of your Journal, then attend the AGpO refresher in Plano this May. See you there.
