CONTRIBUTOR BIOGRAPHIES Catherine Berg, RDH, obtained her dental hygiene license after completing her education at Harcum College in Pennsylvania. She earned numerous academic and clinical awards and gained national recognition for her skills. In her professional career, she is a vital member of the orthodontic team at a private practice in West Chester, PA and has published several research articles. Glenn Burkland, DMD, is a board-certified orthodontist with a private practice in West Chester, PA. He graduated first in his class from the University of Pennsylvania Dental School before receiving his certifi-cate in orthodontics from Harvard University. He subsequently taught at both institutions, as well as Temple University School of Orthodontics. He has lectured both nationally and internationally and has published many research articles. Fred Friedman was an integral part of the team that initiated dental photography in the early 1950s and has worked exclusively in this field ever since. For his dedication and contributions to the field of dentistry, Fred was inducted as a Fellow in the International Academy for Dental Facial Esthetics in 2006. Fred currently is president of CliniPix, Inc., a company committed to providing the dental profession with quality and “user-friendly” dental photographic equipment as well as a positive approach to customer service and support. Phillip Goodman, DDS, Ms, PhD graduated with a M.Sc. degree from the University of Michigan School of Orthodontics and has been in private orthodontics practice since 1980. He has studied craniosacral ther-apy with the Upledger Foundation as well as with Dr. Viola Fryman. Certi-fied cold laser practitioner. He was awarded a PhD in nutrition and alterna-tive practices from the Westbrook University and wrote the first manual of Herbst construction and use. He also wrote a book based on a compilation of cephalometic analyses and published articles in the Functional Orthodon-tist as well as the journal, Lancer . White, DDS, MSD received a D.D.S. in 1959 and a M.S.D. in Orthodontics in 1968 from Baylor Dental College.
