Updated with an abundance of recent documentation, this compre-hensive program teaches the Straight Wire orthodontic appliance system and how to band and bracket teeth. (15 CDE hours) Dr. Ed Gonzalez has a new in-office COMPREHENSIVE course entitled Early Treatment Mechanics for the Growing Child. It begins November 9-10 in Tampa. Understand growth and development in the child patient and be able to provide Phase I treatment in this three-session lecture and hands-on course. Seat-ing is limited. (42 CDE hours) January 11-13, Dr. Jay Gerber begins a three-session Compre-hensive Straight Wire and Functional Orthodontics program in Parkersburg, West Virginia. Develop the skills to inte-grate braces, functional appliances, and clear aligners into your prac-tice! Learn to diagnose orthodontic malocclusions and develop/imple-ment treatment plans and diag-nose/implement treatment plans for patients with Upper Airway Obstruction. (Up to 78 CDE hours) Dr. Gerber will also be offering two weekend sessions. The first, Jan. 26 &27, is Principles of Case Finishing . Learn Dr. Jay’s “Enhanced Vertical Mechanics” and “Six Keys to Finishing Success” to save time and avoid treatment failures. In the second weekend session, March 30 & 31, his Secrets to Pediatric Orthodon-tic Finishing will have a special emphasis on airway obstruction. (Each weekend 14 CDE hours) Susan Coffey, RDA, once again offers her Basic Orthodontic Training and Workshop for Assistants and Hygienists in Dallas March 1-3. The Basic is an excellent way to get your staff up to speed with orthodontics. Susan covers understanding of instru-ments, proper record-taking, orthodontic terminology, correct placement of brackets and wires, and patient care of braces, just to name a few topics.
