The maxillary first molars have distal rotated and the case now presents a Class I platform (Fig. 3). Use a Transpalatal Bar (TPB) (Fig. 5). 2,4 • Prepare the TPB to a passive state (Fig. 6). • The case shown in Figure 7 demonstrates a narrow arch and mesially rotated maxillary first molars producing a Class II platform. • Place 15° of toe-in on both terminal loops of the TPB (Fig. 8).
