Gerber, DDS, is the clinical director of the TMJ and Cranio-facial Pain Clinic where he provides treatment for orthodontics and TMD in Parkersburg, WV. He is the founder and director of the Center for Occlusal Studies an educational facility in Parkersburg, he is the past Director of Neuromuscular Orthodontics at the Las Vegas Institute and is a Certified IAO and AOS Instructor. He has lectured to distin-guished groups, associations and at universities since 1984. In 1990 he was honored as the ‘Clinician of the Year’ by the American Association for Functional Orthodontics. Newby, DDS, is a Diplomate of the AOS and has prac-ticed orthodontics for 30 years and has completed over 2,000 cases. He graduated from Wichita State University in 1976, and the Creighton University School of Dentistry in 1980. He has completed the Master Program in implant dentistry at the GIDE Institute in Los Angeles, CA. Dr. Newby practices multidisciplinary dentistry in Mount Hope, KS, a small community outside of Wichita with his associate Katie L. Neidig, DDS, an AOS member. Ralph Nicassio, DDS, graduated from UCLA in 1985. Dr. Nicassio has maintained a private practice focused on orthodontics and prosthodon-tics for 34 years. He has taught over 800 full days of continuing educa-tion in 19 different countries internationally and throughout the United States and Canada. He has been a consultant for fellow general dentists all over the world and has diagnosed over 40,000 comprehensive orthodontic cases. The objective of his courses is to teach the Gp Orthodontics to the same standard of care as a specialist with clarity, wisdom and sense-of-humor. There is emphasis on customized orthodontic treatment planning to minimize the need for compliance and minimize treatment time. Matthew Standridge DDS, FAGD, is a private practice general dentist in rural Kansas and a member of the AOS. Maria Zavala, RDA, BA, has earned her Bachelor of Arts degree at California State University, Long Beach. Maria graduated from the Dental Assistant Program at Cerritos College in 1991. With over 20 years of experience in the dental field, Maria currently works in a general dental practice and orthodontics. Maria has over teaching experience in orthodontics program for dental assistants and currently works with general doctors doing in-office consultations. Maria is committed to the dental field and as a dental assistant has been able to help and comfort thousands of patients and as an instructor has been able to guide many new dental assistants.
