AGpO MEMBERSHIP NEWS May Gratitude Ring In The New Year! Raphael Santore, DDS AGpO President It is with enormous pride that I come to you all with a message for the New Year. Gratitude. That's right. Be grateful! It opens doors that are right in front of us that we may not have seen. What might we want to be grateful for this year? Continuing education AGpO style, for sure. The Academy Is developing and improving our online learning. We have virtual advanced study clubs going in Texas and Ohio. The very first online Aligner series with personal ClinCheck reviews has been so successful that we are doing a new one. We also have new 12-session Tip Edge courses starting in Rochester and Houston. If that were not enough, we are expanding into Toronto with a two-day seminar on Advanced Concepts in Fixed Mechanics and Aligners with our new Cana-dian Orthodontic Symposium. Remaining true to our mandate to educate doctors in orthodontics, our Education Committee has been hard at work looking to make our annual meeting in Ohio the best it can be. Judging by the early intel, I can't wait to see you all there. So, what am I grateful for? Actually, it is in knowing all of you. Before I was introduced to the AGpO, its' members and its' instructors, and the 24-7 mentoring that is available, I had no idea how complex and rewarding orthodontics could be. Do I love all the other things I do in dentistry? Of course I do, but they don't take two years of patient care to complete and that requires a humble adjustment in how to problem solve. My mentors here at the AGpO gave me that. I heard Charles Young quote Ron Austin during a virtual seminar recently and he talked about having patience, discipline and self-reflection. Upon self-reflection, I am truly grateful for the AGpO and the power of collective learning. My final message for today is to put the AGpO 2022 Annual Meeting on your calendar. We need you and we will be very grateful to you for joining us in Ohio on September 22-24.
