Three years after starting his practice, he received advanced training in orthodontics and has helped correct the smiles of children, teens and adults for over 35 years. Cannizzo is a member of the Academy of Gp Orthodontics and a current board member of the American Orthodontic Society. He is the editor of the Journal of the American Orthodontic Soci-ety and has published articles in both American and international journals. He served as a teaching fellow at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and received a certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from Children’s Hospital. Carapezza is currently an Associate Clinical Professor at the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and contributing editor to the Journal of Clinical Pediatric Dentistry . His lecture experience includes being the senior certified instructor for both the American Orthodontic Society and International Association for Orthodontics. Shirley Gutkowski, BSDH, HAIAOMT, AOMT-C, is a practicing orofacial myofunctional therapist (OMT) and Buteyko Breathing educator practicing in Sun Prairie, WI. She was taught by world-renowned OMT expert Joy Moeller and has learned Buteyko Breathing retraining techniques taught by world-renowned Buteyko expert Patrick McKeown.
