AOS MEMBERSHIP NEWS Greatness Takes Time As we enjoy the final weeks of summer—hopefully filled with family barbecues, poolside relaxation, and well-earned vacations—we also look ahead to a season of renewal and professional growth. Fall brings cooler days, students and teachers returning to class-rooms, and for us in the orthodontic community, one of the most anticipated events of the year: the Annual AOS Meeting. This year, I’m thrilled to invite you to the 2025 AOS Annual Meeting at the elegant Ritz-Carlton in Las Coli-nas, TX. We've curated a stellar lineup of nationally recognized speakers and educators who are leaders in their fields. Whether you're a seasoned orthodontist or an early-career professional, you'll find value in every lecture, demonstration, and discussion. Our sessions are designed to challenge your thinking, expand your clini-cal techniques, and strengthen your practice manage-ment skills. I strongly encourage you to register early— this meeting promises to be one of our best yet. Beyond the classroom, our exhibit hall will be fully packed with innovative vendors and companies showcasing the latest advancements in orthodontic products, technology, and services. This is a rare opportunity to interact directly with manufacturers and suppliers, explore hands-on demonstrations, and discover resources to elevate your clinical outcomes and efficiency. Of course, the Annual Meeting isn’t just about education and vendors—it’s also about community. This is a time to reconnect with friends, colleagues, and mentors and to share stories, insights, and support. These relationships are the heartbeat of our organiza-tion. Whether you're catching up over Greg Cannizzo, DDS dinner or discussing new ideas in a AOS President breakout session, you’ll be reminded that you are part of a vibrant and supportive profes-sional family. As we gear up for this incredible weekend, I want to share a message of encouragement: Greatness takes time. It is built through consistency, effort, and a commitment to continual improvement. Stay focused on your goals. Keep learning. Keep pushing. The true measure of success is not simply reaching the top—it’s dedication to becoming better every single day. The American Orthodontic Society is here to help you on your journey. In addition to our Annual Meet-ing, we’re offering a number of valuable courses to close out the year and launch us into 2026 with renewed purpose and skill. These educational opportunities are designed to help you get back to basics, refine your techniques, and grow in confidence and competence. I encourage you to embrace every challenge and take pride in your progress. Be relentless in your pursuit of excellence. Whether you’re expanding your practice, learning a new technique, or mentoring a colleague— enjoy the journey. Thank you for your dedication to our profession and for being part of the AOS. I look forward to seeing you in Las Colinas. Dr. William Wyatt is pictured with his wife and Dr. Leonard Carapezza at last year's AOS Fall Meeting. www.orthodontics.com Summer 2025 29
