Cass, DDS Five doctors recently completed their two-year comprehensive hands-on course in Raleigh, North Carolina. The graduates included Vanina Medrano, DMD; Kunjal Patel, DDS; Nathan Faber DMD, Zachary Karam, DDS; and Casey Owen, DDS. Congratulations to all five doctors for achieving the Associ-ate Fellowship Level of the Academy of Gp Orthodontics Tier Advance-ment Program. All of the doctors started a minimum of three cases during the course and presented their cases to their instructor. Taught by Dr. Robert Allen at the office of Dr. Scott Earp, each of the doctors completed the Academy’s 12-session, two-year hands-on course and received a minimum of 150 CDE hours in orthodontics and related topics. The year-long course included topics involving early orthodontic diagno-sis; record taking on young children; treatment planning for early crowding; space analysis in the mixed dentition; appliance design; facial profile analysis; airway assessment in relation to facial growth; treatment strategies; reten-tion after Phase 1; as well as treat-ment timing and strategies when working with kids.
