AGpO MEMBERSHIP NEWS Continue Your AGpO Education in Memphis this Fall! It's hard to believe how fast this year has been racing forward. It's been a month since the Spring Refresher, and I'm still reviewing the material that Dr. Ron Austin presented in those two days packed with Tip-Edge pearls. Even though I've been doing Tip-Edge ortho for over 12 years, I still am amazed at how much I glean from the great speakers at our refreshers. I was also pleasantly surprised at the number of attendees who were present during our two-day event. It was truly one of the largest turnouts in recent memory. I'm hoping that everyone will continue to support our annual meeting by attending the AGpO gathering this fall in Memphis, Tennessee. We will be meeting September 10-13, 2015, at the renowned Peabody Hotel. Be sure to mark your calendars. We have four excellent speakers who will provide us with diverse subject matter so we may once more increase our knowledge base in an effort to provide better orthodontic results in our practices. Dr. Steve Galella will discuss how to create balanced faces and beautiful smiles. Dr. Keith Wilkerson will fill us in on the impor-tance of orthopedic arch development in the early to mixed dentition. Dr. Nick Panomitros will lecture on informed consent and common legal pitfalls. In addi-tion, Dr. Joseph O'Neil will present fine-tuning the established practice as a part of the Charles Yates free lecture series. If family members also decide to attend this great meeting, they will find that Memphis has a rich history with many sites to visit and see including Graceland, home to the king of rock and roll, Elvis Presley, and the music of Beale Street. Memphis also offers many food establishments, with some of the best barbeque that can be found on either side of the Mississippi. At last years annual meeting in Denver, I assumed the role of the president of the AGpO. I will be passing on the title in Memphis, secure in the belief that our organization, while small in comparison to some other orthodontic groups, has a strong alliance of like-minded individuals who wish to extol the benefits of Tip-Edge to the public. I suspect that we have one of the most helpful bunch of dentists who really want to share their expertise with those of us in need. It is my hope that every member will continue to support the AGpO through our yearly renewals and our meeting attendance. Through our group, we can overcome the many obstacles that we face daily as Tip-Edge practi-tioners and share the joy of providing orthodontics and a lifetime of beautiful smiles and oral health to our patients. See you in Memphis!!
