A grandfather and his grandson made their way down to the dock by their channel out to the Gulf one summer morning. There they noticed five seagulls sitting on the dock. The grandfather turned to his grandson and said “Do you see the five gulls sitting on the dock?” “Yes” answered his grandson. “Tell me”, said the grandfather “if one seagull decides to fly away, how many will be left?’ “Well …… Four” answers his grandson. “No,” the grandfather responded, “there are still five. Deciding to fly away and actually flying away are two different things.” What’s true for seagulls on a dock is also true for us. Have you ever decided to change but didn’t?
