Proper Study Models: Study Models must be presented for the Diplomate Award. These must consist of Pre-Treat-ment models and models six months Post-Treatment. The models should be properly trimmed and polished such that they are consistent to the standards set forth by the American Board of Orthodontics. In month seventeen, I made sectionals from the .018 x .025 stain-less steel, replaced into the arches, and instructed the patient to wear cross arch elastics to fully intercuspated the premolars. The patient wore these for one month. In month eighteen I removed the poste-rior bands and brackets, impressed for retainers, and replaced the sectionals until the retainers came back from the laboratory. In month nineteen, I removed the remaining anterior brack-ets, took final records, and placed a lower bonded 3x3 and an upper QCM retainer with no occlusal coverage.
