CONTRIBUTOR BIOGRAPHIES Elsa Alfonzo-Echeverri, DDS, FAAPD, is the Vice President of Echeverri Dental Center in Houston TX. She is fluent in both English and Spanish and is an international speaker having made presentations in Venezuela, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Spain and the USA. She is also a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Assn of Pediatric Dentistry and the AOS. Juan Carlos Echeverri, DDS, FAOS, After earning his DDS in his native country of Colombia, Dr. Echeverri moved to the US to pursue graduate studies. He received his Certificate of Maxillofacial Prosthetic Dentistry from LSU School of Dentistry in 1989 and his DDS from UT-Houston in 1992. Fluent in Spanish and English, he has lectured in Colombia, Venezuela, and Spain, in addition to the US and has published articles in the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry and the Journal of the American Orthodontic Society. His private practice in Houston focuses on a comprehensive approach to the treatment of patients, including restorative, prosthetic, and implant dentistry, as well as minor oral surgery and orthodontics. Dr. Echeverri is a Diplomate of the AOS and currently serves on the Board. Ryan C. Galligan, DDS is a general dentist and maintains a solo private practice in Raleigh, NC. As a native of North Carolina, Dr. Galligan is a proud alumnus of his home state universities including undergraduate education at North Carolina State University and doctorate education in dentistry from the University of North Carolina. His practice emphasizes minimally invasive treatment for all family generations within his community and provides orthodontic care as a part of this treatment philosophy. Dr. Galligan has undergone extensive post-graduate continuing education in minimally invasive treatment and orthodontics and is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Orthodontic Society, and the World Congress of Minimally Invasive Dentistry. Jackson, DDS, FAGD, IBO, graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1978. Dr. Jackson, a member of AOS and AGpO, as well as other professional organizations, lectures exten-sively for the American Orthodontic Society and the International Association for Orthodontics. Michael Miyasaki, DDS currently maintains a fee-for-service practice in Sacramento, CA, focusing on aesthetics and function. Dave Singh, DDSc, PhD, BDS was born, educated and trained in England. He is currently President of BioModeling Solutions, LLC. He is also Director of Continuing Education for the SMILE Foundation, USA; a Senior Instructor/Consultant/Fellow for the International Asso-ciation for Orthodontics; Academic Fellow of the World Federation of Orthodontists; and a Member of the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain, the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, and Charter Member of the Appliance Therapy Practitioners Association. Previously, he was a Visiting Professor in Orthodontics (Malaysia), Associate Professor at the Univer-sity of Puerto Rico, USA, and an Adjunct Professor at Portland State University. He has been published extensively in the orthodontic and dental literature, and is co-author of a book entitled “Epigenetic Orthodontics in Adults”. Dr. Singh has lectured nationally and internationally in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia.
