It is very easy for us to think we know it all, and that we have already learned everything we need to know. Regardless of how old we are, we have to resist this way of thinking. There are always more lessons to learn or a pearl to pick up. This year, our annual meeting is being held September 29–October 2 at the Grand Hyatt Atlanta. This setting provides a great opportu-nity to continue your orthodontic learning. There will be at least 15 speakers lecturing on trouble shooting, mechanics, bonding, TADS, sleep apnea and other great dental and orthodontic topics. In addition, there will be a multitude of industry representa-tives and vendors available to help with all the equipment and ortho supply needs and questions you may have. This issue of the Journal includes our second annual 2011 Orthodontic Buyer’s Guide. We have provided you with an orthodontic reference that can hopefully assist you year round. As with last year, be sure to keep this issue with you as you make your way through the Annual Meeting Exhibit Hall. Lessons and pearls can come to you from many different avenues. They can come from a lecture, or a table clinic, they can come from speaking with a vendor or showing a case to an instructor or friend. They can come from what we have done right and what we have done wrong. But you will miss the chance to experience any of these if you don’t make it to the annual meeting in Atlanta. As the saying goes, “Don’t wait for all the lights to turn green, if you do, you’ll never leave your driveway”. Explore the top orthodontic meeting of the year. Enjoy the optional educational programs, events and dinners. Reconnect with your friends and colleagues. Get moving out of your driveway. All the lights are green from here to Atlanta.
