AGpO MEMBERSHIP NEWS AGpO Offers Many Opportunities for Continuing Education I hope all of you are well and prospering in 2024. I wanted to take this opportunity to remind all of you about our upcoming amazing courses: AGpO’s Early Treatment Course starts in Boerne, TX (near San Antonio) this spring. This six-session, hands-on course begins on April 19-20 with instructor Dr. Keith Wilkerson. Keith is a pediatric dentist who has made early orthodon-tic/orthopedic treatment and interceptive treat-ment his focus, with an emphasis on the correct facial growth and oral posture. You will learn the importance of early interception of malocclusions in the young patient and what appliances are necessary to achieve facial beauty and optimal functional occlusion. Our Spring Refresher will feature Dr. Ron Austin on May 3-4, 2024 in Plano, TX. Dr. Austin has over 6,000 completed Tip-Edge cases. He will cover diagnosis, all Tip-Edge stages, finishing and many "pearls of wisdom”. The Tip-Edge Guide is essential, yet only 50% of patients follow the guide’s recommendations. With this course, Ron will teach you how to treat on all your cases. Brian Machart, DDS There is a new hybrid live AGpO President webinar and in-person clinical Clear Aligner Mastery Course with Dr. Milton Ntragatakis to take place in Brunswick, OH this year. Milton is a pediatric dentist who has completed over 1,000 clear aligner cases to date. He has assisted numerous doctors in implement-ing clear aligners into their practice. Mark your calendars for the 2024 Annual Meet-ing on September 26–28 in Houston, TX. This year’s event will be featuring lectures from Drs. Fred Der, Ron Austin, and Milton Ntragatakis. Brian Machart, DDS Two-Year Continuing Education Course Graduates 12 Doctors Recently, 12 dentists completed their 12-session, two-year hands-on comprehensive course taught by Dr. Robert Allen at his office in Rockwall, TX. All attending doctors earned a minimum of 155 CDE in orthodon-tics and related topics and passed a written and oral final exam. Congratulations to all the doctors who achieved the Associate Fellow-ship Level of the Academy of Gp Orthodontics Tier Advancement Program. These included: Rodney Chowning, DDS; Adam Coley, DDS; Vamshider Reddy Kyatam, DMD; Rana Nassar, DMD; Huyen Nguyen, DDS; Muhibunnisa Shaik, DDS; Seema Sharma, DDS. Each of these doctors needed to start a minimum of three cases during the hands-on course and present them to the class.
