By Thomas N. Chapman, CAE, AOS Executive Director T he AOS Annual Meeting in Houston was a great success, both in education and fun. Attendees were treated to an array of outstanding speakers that included Dr. Pablo Echarri, Dr. Michael Williams, Dr. Len Carapezza, and Dr. Tom Hughes. Our motivational speakers, former Olympian, Ruben Gonza-lez and Ms. Christine Cashen offered high energy presentations that offered options for increasing the “Wow” factor in your life. We credentialed a record fourteen members at either Achievement, Fellowship, or Diplomate level. Congrat-ulations to each! The Friday night party at Sambuca’s, downtown Houston, gave both dancers and would-be dancers a chance to showcase their skills after a great meal. The Saturday awards dinner moved our emotions all night with an inspiring talk by Dr. Heber Simmons Jr., and a touching tribute and Lifetime Achievement Award presentation to Past President Dr. Ed Gonzalez. Those that attended will long remember this evening. We are looking forward to another outstanding Annual Meeting this year, September 29-Oct 2, in Atlanta in partnership with the AGpO. 42 January/February 2011 JAOS
