AGpO MEMBERSHIP NEWS Greetings AGpO Members from the President Raphael Santore, DDS AGpO President What a year. We all have stories to tell. My hope is you all made it to the other side safely. I just got back from the AGpO 2021 meeting and it was packed with useful information, renewed friendships, and hope for an even better year. Our committees have worked tirelessly to support our educational growth, our annual meeting, our commitment to you, and our goal of strengthening the AGpO. To that end, we have added some new course content, increased our course availability, broke new ground with Clear Aligner content using a new Webinar format, and, we are adding a straight wire lecture series. We are also looking at providing help to those instructors that want to go online with their course content. As we look forward, we are increasing our online presence in continuing education to help our course participants whose travel abilities have been stressed to the max this year. Our efforts have been well received. The “Take Away” is we need all of you. We want to support your love of learning and the pursuit of excellence in Orthodontics. So, I am going to task all of you with continuing your membership, making plans on your calendar to come to the AGpO Annual Meeting in Cleveland, Ohio in September of 2022 and help us in any way you can. We care about what you think and what you need from the AGpO. Thank you. Annual Ortho Dental Assistants Training Course Held The Academy held its 2021 Assistant’s Course with instruc-tor Dr. Charles Young at the Renaissance Legacy West Hotel in Plano, Texas on July 22-24, 2021. Over 30 attendees made this class an extraordinary week-end event. This intensive three-day annual course included orthodontic staff training. Over the past 14 years, more than 250 dental assistants have attended this popular AGpO course.
