AOS MEMBERSHIP NEWS “Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all.” As a dentist who has walked in valleys and experi-enced mountaintops in my beloved profession, this quote by the inimitable Helen Keller speaks loudly. One of the “unique” adventures in my life is about to take place. I am honored to step into the role of president for the American Orthodontic Society. At ALL levels, from state boards to insur-ance companies, the AOS will represent your interests and right to provide quality orthodontics to your patient community. However, I can’t do this without your support and feedback. Please let me hear from you. I can be reached at twanaduncandds@sbcglobal.net and encourage you to contact me with concerns and ideas. I want to also thank Dr. Juan Echeverri, our outgo-ing president for his leadership, vision and hard work. He is a gifted practitioner and we are fortunate to have had his talent and time this past year. I’m looking forward to a great year of American Orthodontic Soci-ety education and camaraderie.
