Simultane-ously an .018 nitanium expansion utility archwire (NEUA) 8 is being used to slightly advance the maxil-lary incisors to a normal overjet (Fig. 40). Treatment is ongoing. Case 9 The patient presented with a symmetrical dental Class II Div. 2 malocclusion (Fig. 41). An .018 NUA with tip-back bends was used to intrude and torque the maxillary incisors. After alignment of the maxillary incisors the process was continued with an .020 SAWA until a normal overbite and overjet was obtained. Straightwire appliances were used to complete the case.
