Boyd, M.Sc., DDS, is a board-certified pediatric dentist with an M. Sc. in Human Nutrition. He is in private practice in Chicago, IL and an attending instructor in the residency-train-ing program in Pediatric Dentistry at Children’s Memorial Hospital. He is currently working on a degree in Biological Anthropology at Northeastern Illinois University in preparation for graduate study and research in the newly emerging discipline of Evolutionary Dentistry. His clinical focus is centered upon prevention of oral and systemic disease through promotion of healthy breathing and eating; his primary research interest is in the area of infant/early childhood feeding practices and how they impact palatal-facial development. David W. Jackson, DDS, FAGD, IBO, graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1978. Dr. Jackson, a member of AOS and AGpO, as well as other professional organizations, lectures extensively for the American Orthodontic Society and the International Association for Orthodontics. His insight to the real world of orthodontics in the general practice is honest and informative. David Gilbert Kaplan, PhD After earning a Ph.D. in polymer chemistry, Dr. Kaplan attended the Loyola Law School and became a member of the State Bar of California. Dr. Kaplan has extensive experience in medical device development and in addition has focused on an explanation for Wolff's Law (how bones get their shape). Dr. Kaplan can be reached at dgkaplan@sbcglobal.net. Patrick McKeown, MA is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin and the Buteyko Breathing Clinic of Russia. He first discovered the Buteyko Method to help with his asthma which was going from bad to worse. By correcting his breathing volume, he eliminated his asthma attacks and freed himself from his asthma condition. He is one of a few West-ern experts who is directly authorized and accredited by the Late Professor Buteyko to teach this method internationally. Joy L. Moeller, RDH, BS graduated from dental hygiene school in 1976 and has taken many post graduate courses in the treatment of orofacial myofunctional disorders. She also consults to many dental manufacturers about product development and direc-tion. Recently, the ADA presented her with the Shils Foundation Award for Entrepreneurial spirit and leadership.
